getting closer

allllmost there

At this point I kept waiting, watching the boards, wondering how long it takes to get to luggage after landing, waiting, figuring I was just being anxious and figuring she would be the next person coming out, or the next, maybe the next, or the next...
So I looked for which baggage carousel she would be routed to incase she sneaked past me, but found it odd that none of them had her flight listed, not even her airline......
So the light bulb clicks and I take off running out of the airport, into the garage, back to the proper terminal this time.... and...

sad little abandoned grandma left all alone!

She had got her bag and had been waiting for about ten minutes, I'm a schmuck
So gabbing on the way south from the airpot, I was engrossed in conversations you have with your mom when you haven't seen each other for a long time.... and drove right on past the I-15 exit, took a while to get off the 215, turned around, and headed back....
eventually we made it to the hospital for Gramma B's first looksy

She got to help dry him after his bath, he was ready to be in bed half way through the bath this time, which is not usually the case, so he was a little red faced before she even got him.
That was last night, and pretty brief. Today she got to really hold him.

She's a natural of course, like all grammas are.
Let's see, still eating ok and swinging a little on his oxygen, but really, it's all going to change on Thursday anyway.
He will go back on the ventilator for some time, no one can say how long. He will also go back to nursery "A" while he recovers.
He weighs 6lbs 12 oz now, and has the entire medical staff in love with him.

On Friday the ballroom team is participating in the LHS homecoming parade! They are trying to bring back a tradition. There hasn't been a homecoming parade for years and years. So come on down, it'll be very short. It goes from the rec center along 100 north to the high school... it'll be fun. We've got big plans for our section of the parade, the kids are really excited. It starts at 5:30pm, the anticipate it being done by 6:15pm.
Hope to see you there!

I cna't believe you could loose your mother. Oh well, It was fun seeing pictures of her and Greydon together for the 1st time. I'm sure she is going to have a lot of fun with him. Good luck tomorrow. Our prayers are with you and Greydon. Love to all.
I'll bet she forgot all about those 10 minutes you left her abandoned once she held her sweet little one. Thinking of you tomorrow as always.
I have never seen or even heard of a Homecoming Parade... I am super excited to see what you have planned.
