What I want to know is, if they can make Dreft that is safe for baby's clothes that can get out really really..... reaaaaaaally heavy stains, why the heck do we not use it for everything? Why am I dipping my clothes in acid baths or lye pits when mystical magical Dreft does just as well?
We wanted to get in as much holding today as possible since we wont be able to for a couple of days or so.
The schedule, as I understand it (which isn't saying much) Is that sometime around 4am Bonnie will wheel him over to nursery A and get in his IV's. Around 9:30 he'll be downstairs on the main level in the surgery suite. The surgery wont take very long and isn't very risky. He will be intubated before and during his surgery. They don't know if he'll come back off the tube tomorrow night or a little longer. They will keep him sedated after the surgery until he gets off being intubated so he doesn't try to pull it out. As of midnight he can only have and IV for fluids, no feedings, not even though his nasal tube.
We gave him a blessing tonight, our good friend Justin was kind enough to come and participate, very kind. We would love your prayers and thoughts. Again, it's not a scary surgery, but it's still a surgery. He weighed in at 6lbs 13.7oz! tonight. He won't eat for a day or so after the surgery until they are sure everything is ok, no reactions, etc etc. So I'm curious what his weight does, I won't be shocked if it takes a little dip. We're praying for a speedy recovery that blends into hitting the remaining benchmarks that are keeping him from coming home.
