Remember how you jumped in elementary school doing the long jump?

We did another bottle feed attempt last night, and he did great. Plenty leaked down his chin, but 75% eventually came out of the bottle either down his throat or down his face, it's the best he's done yet!

Dr. Later is still perplexed that he is "swinging" still. He has learned how to take deep breaths, and normally that eliminates the swing. The caffeine didn't make a huge difference, and is known to aggravate reflux. Since they are thinking the reflux is likely the culprit for the swinging they are going to take him back off of caffeine to see what happens.

Rumor has it that we may be moving to nursery "B" before the end of the day. The NICU is getting pretty full again and we are doing well enough to be on the list to get shipped out of Side A where the more urgent cases hang out. Normally they wait for babies to be a little more stable on his oxygen before moving, but he is just on the border of normal oxygen, and is easily helped when he swings. Nursery B is where they send the "feeders and the growers." They still take great care of him over there, and we get to bring our primary nurses with us, most of the time

It is a good sign that we may be moving, but I will be sad to leave our little corner. It has been home for two months. It is where we first got to know Greydon, where I first got to hold him, where Kristen was wheeled after surgery to strain and try to see him, where he started to try to eat with his Mom on his own and where we have stood for countless hours just gazing at our little boy. It is the only reality that we have known as a family of three. I am happy to be moving on, but moving to a strange environment, that is still a hospital is just a small wobbly step forward and I would rather take a swing your arms to get momentum, two footed fly while you grunt out loud dive forward and land at home jump. I hope whoever gets our spot appreciates the nice dark corner.

I'm so glad that is doing well enough to move, but it will be srange not to see him in the corner. I'm so glad that his primary nurses will be going with him, they have been angels. It won't be much longer before he will be going home. It will be a welcome change for all of you when it happens. Love to all.

Isn't it amazing how humans adapt to their situations and places they get situated in?! Just goes to show you a house isn't a home; home is where you are loved and cared for.
Hope he gets the breathing down pat here pretty quick and boy is he growing!Love, Muzz

You did get great spot. I am so excited for the move though. I always picture him in that corner so you will have to describe the new spot in detail or I will keep thinking of him there. It is so awesome though one step closer to home!
