It was my chance to hold him tonight, and he was a little fidgety. We only made it 40 minutes. He had one bradycardia episode caused by an apnea moment.
I was watching his respiratory rate like I always do, and it was a little high, so I started making little sushing noises and holding him ways that calm him down, and his respiratory rate went down, and down, and then he stopped breathing, so I rubbed his back and he started up again... apparently you can be too relaxed, causing your son to stop breathing, not on my recommendations list.
The noisy neighbors didn't help the session. He kept hearing them and reacting when they were loud. Good thing I was strapped to a machine or Kristen would've been embarrassed I think.
They got labs back and all showed normal, can't remember if I mentioned that yesterday. They still don't like how hard he is working to breathe, so they brought in the cardio-echogram machine and looked at his heart and lungs. They didn't find anything that caused a big reaction. We know he still has a little hole in his heart that usually closes up around term. One possibility is that blood was taking a big advantage of that hole, but it's not. The right side of the heart isn't enlarged, they checked that, and everything looks, fine. So we're back to waiting and hoping his little lung muscles develop quickly so he doesn't have to keep working so hard.
His stomach gas is still going down, so he went back on getting fed. Because there was a break in his feedings, even though they had made it up to 11 ml they had to go back down to 2 ml and will work back up again. I think 2 ml is around 1/15 of an ounce.... let's just say Kristen isn't having a big challenge keeping ahead of him. Kristen got to push the syringe tonight. Then I read him "Urban Babies Wear Back"
Maybe he was just fidgety because he was excited to get a cool black onesie, some shades and a fashion forward beanie.
Echogram cardio dealeo

I finally remembered to wear a button up shirt

I love his little hands

I'm certainly glad Dad wasn't there during all the noise, I think Kristen and I both would have been embarassed!!! Love, Muzz
Sorry you had all the noise. Oh yeah, congrats on acing your math final!
I am shocked that you did't tell them the whole what for. I am also sure Kristen loved the keeping up comment.
Great Job on your math test! I am in awe... I never knew 100% was even possible ;)
I'm usually OK with being rude and socially unacceptable. Next time buzz me on my cell and hand em the phone >|) Do you want a onesie that says 'stink ninja' on it? :) I'm starting a t-shirt line soonish!
oh btw, algebra classes are also good for meeting your future spouse! WOOT!
In my house what would have happened is known as a 'creep show', and I have thrown a few myself- even in public. Bless you for the self control you exhibited.
I know I have seen him real life and all, but I can not get over how tiny and miralce-like he looks in all these pictures. Completely blowing me away.
