We were told he might go back and forth, but it is still sad to have his little face hidden again.
They did a sonogram of his heart to make sure it was working properly and was not the cause of the extra work it was taking to breath.
His heart looks good but there is some extra fluid on the lungs that they are deciding how to treat right now...
Aunt Ang got back in town, and then took off again, and Kristen got to hold Greydon again. He almost made it an hour before starting to wig out. But he did good for most of it.
He is still on caffeine to remind him to breath, he is handling his feedings well, I think he gets one tenth of a teaspoon of milk every three hours. They will probably start upping his feedings, unless needing to go back on the cpap or the fluid on his lungs changes their minds...
We will get a more detailed report about the lungs and heart tonight or tomorrow morning when we get to talk to the doc.... that's all for now...
I need to find someone with a serger. We can bring in our own stuff for him to lay on, I found some cool flannely fabric... the edges do not matter because they tuck the edges in, we just don't want them to unravel when they get washed/
I think it makes me feel more like he is real and mine to be able to use our own linens, maybe that's silly, The last time they changed his bedding they put a black base with a leopard print around his barrier, it is so cool.
Besides that, I'm just trying to help Kristen figure out that she just had a c-section, and yes she will get tired if she ties to run all day...
Aunt Ang see's Greydon for first time

Hi Aunt Ang

We choose a spot on Greydon that we touch first each time we see him to help him make good "touch connections". Instead of everytime a nurse touches him he gets poked, or a diaper changed He can figure out, hmm my hand is being held, I think I smell my dad, hey, I bet Dad is touching my hand. Kristen chose his chin (apparently he can probably smell her from 50 feet away right now, hello wild kingdom!)
Here Ang chooses the top of his head as her signal. (Babies brains don't get all of the cool grooves and stuff even untl 36 weeks, so we are learning from an occupational therapist the best things to do for him.

Such a peaceful transfer, he must've smelled his mom!

You are such a good updater! You are in our prayers. Tell Kristen she can call anytime and we can talk instead of her running around.
Glad to see that Aunt Ang finally got to meet Greydon=! Love the pics and the update. Thanks for sharing
Calvin, I said I would do anything . . . . . . hello . . . . I don't have a serger that's functioning, but I know how I can do it up right, please call me . . . . . .
P.S. LOVED the pic of Kristen and the baby, so precious!
There is nothing like holding your baby skin to skin. Kristen looks as peaceful as Greydone probably does. Love the pic!
