This morning Greydon went back on the ventilator (re-intubated).
His CO2 levels kept getting higher. They are also giving him another round of surfactant. It helps the lungs. Inside the lungs there is a lubricant that helps the inside of the lungs not stick together, preemies haven't had the chance to create that yet. He got a couple of doses right at the beginning as well.
He might be on the ventilator for 2 hours, or 2 days, it depends on how well and how quickly it does what they want it to do.
I'll give more details as they become available.

Sorry ot hear Greydon was having a hard time again, but what a blessing modern medicine is. Our friends lost a premie almost 40 years ago because they didn't have surfactant. I'm sure he will get over this little hump, he's a fighter!! Glad Kristen could hold him so long, he loves being in his mother's arms. AHow did your performance at the County Fair go??
I love the mail already
Sorry to hear the poor little guy had to go thru that again, he's a trooper isn't he!!!
Love the linen; very boyish!!
Glad that you and Guy are in contact; he's very anxious for you and yours!
Keep your chins up! Love & mush, Muzz
Hey there, I left a comment on the previous post, I missed the jump and thought i was on the same one or sumting...
P.S. Anxious isn't quite in the same realm (solar system, galaxy) of what we are feeling for you guys but I'm going to leave it at that - I imagine it's nothing compared to what you guys are feeling.
Well the prayers are obv. getting through so we'll keep a steady stream going back to the home office.
We just want to let you know that your in our prayers and we think of you and your family often. Sometimes it takes a few setbacks before you can take a big hurdle. We love you guys!
