He is still going to be in the NICU, and if there were to be an emergency, or if we had questions, those doctors would certainly be willing to take care of him. But now the pediatrician we selected, primarily by recommendation, will be visiting him daily until he comes home.
Today he was taken off caffeine, the last medication he was on. Now he only gets vitamins.
Tomorrow or Thursday is his eye follow up, and he is still scheduled for his brain scan next week.
I think that is about the gist of it....
I am shocked that this is still the same day that I posted the "quickie" update... it feels like a week ago.
We also learned that Greydon is able to suck and swallow and breathe all at the same time.... that's pretty impressive, he never choked, which many preemies have a hard time learning. So, that's a good sign.
Also please keep the twins who are staying next to Greydon in the NICU in your heart and prayers, they are up in Ogden today having heart surgeries. There are openings in baby's hearts that allow the blood to travel a little different path while they are in the womb. Sometimes they don't close properly for preemies. They thought Greydon might have had this problem but thankfully did not.
Any surgery is scary, and the poor parents have two to be stressed over. We are praying that everything goes perfect.

Wow that sounds like good news! Probably a little strange changing Doc's. Tell Greydon that Pepsi is better! At least that is what his Great Grandpa and Grandma Robbins would have told him :)
My nephew is beautiful.
So glad that Greydon is hitting all his benchmarks. He is just awesome. That is one great kid, and I know he is being watched over. I'm still on for coming home in 3 weeks(Sept 28), maybe earlier. Tell the Twins parents we are rooting for them. It could so easily be Greydon having all those problems. Give him a kiss from his Grandma R.
I'm glad that he just gets to have vitamins now. Just think, in no time he'll be old enough that you'll be giving him the gummy bear vitamins and you'll wonder where the time went. I hope the "skills" he and Kristen are learning are going well. It's not as easy as they make it sound! My vote is the 8th of October.
Good New!! Now let's get through next week.......wow, speed bumps are tough!
I can't even imagine what those parents are going thru.My heart goes out to them.
What a cute little mouth and lips; he's so cute. Love, Muzz
I am sooo excited for the two of you hopefully things keep going well. I am excited for the day that we can all play with him and he is so HANDSOME!
Oh and I guess October fifth
Now you know there is only one person that would actually end their e.mail as "Big Sis" (There is no way I would ever say "oldest sis"!!!) Been catching up on you blog. Greydon is looking so great! I am so excited about the progress he is making. Been trying to figure out how I can fit in Mom's suitcase so that I can come, too! Don't worry, somehow I will find a way to get out there before too long. I will catch up with you more later. Hugs and kisses for everybody - Shannon
Happy he is doing so well! Recommendations is the best way to get a good doc. Good Luck!

Great Picture of little Greydon. Tell him I am sorry he can no longer have caffeine.
If someone took away my diet cokes I would cry for a long time.
Hey Cal. This is your cousin Lizz. Greydon has the sweetest little face! Little boys are such a joy(although little girls aren't so bad either) Glad to hear he is learning to eat well. I imagine its harder than some of us realize when they are so teeny. You are all in my prayers but especially your little one.
