I'm not fooled!

Yesterday Dr. Later started Greydon on the prevacid. So we hope it works wonders.

Greydon is doing ok with the skills he is trying to learn, but is actually regressing a little. It makes a difference how Kristen is feeling, and the occupational therapist came in to see if she could offer any help or suggestions. Kristen = queen of privacy, so it was shocking to me when she said it was ok for the therapist's trainee to tag along also during a "skill training opportunity". I spoke up in case Kristen was just not wanting to be confrontational and yell GET OUT at the poor girl, but Kristen really was ok with it... her point was that by now there's not much privacy left anyway.

While trying to discern what could help things go a little smoother the occupational therapist asked Kristen "Are you stressed?"

Kristen just looked at her..... gee, let me think.

In reality Greydon is doing pretty good with skill acquisition, but to cover our bases we are going to teach him how to use a bottle on Friday with the same lady. We have a date on Friday at 10pm. She made a big deal about me being the one to give him the first bottle. I'm excited. I couldn't figure out if she was just being upbeat or thought that I might not want to for some reason and she was saving the world one dad at a time by teaching them to how to hold a baby bottle, but either way I'm all for it... it doesn't exactly sound like the biggest challenge I've had so far.. I'm pretty sure I'm going to be able to handle it.

I got a comment from my sis Amy on the last post. Let's all just pause for a moment of silence in gratitude for modern technology shall we? I've mentioned a few times how I am all bugged by not being close, geographically, to any of my immediate family, I have a bro in CA, a sis near MI's capital, a sis living near the west coast of MI, and parents who are just 5 feet short of the north pole in northern MI... so it is great that if nothing else they can say heydy ho on here. I know email has been around for a little while, but hey, let me enjoy and be thankful! Sheesh.

There have been a few times when I've got to hold Greydon after he has been fussy, and he has calmed down for me. So Kristen thinks that I am all talented at soothing him. In reality he has filled his diaper with impressive skill each of those times. So I am thinking there is some unfortunate pattern being learned here.

"Hey, I'm with my Dad.... thhpgthhhfghutgh.....ghy...rhghthhgh.......gurgle......thpthhshsppththtththhhphh... toot.....tah dah!"

Yeah, you look cute and innocent, I know better.

I laughed so hard at the Tah-Dah!! Isn't that special that he can do that for his Dad!! Yea!!!
Sure hope prevacid is the answer;it would be soooo good.
Hey, we don't wear muklaks and eat whale blubber here; yet!! If the cost of groceries keeps going up it will be a viable alternative. Love, Inuit Gramma

I'm starting to sound redundant, but he's so cute! Each picture gets a little cuter!! Can't wait to see him in person. Thanks for sharing!

I look at that beautiful little face and wish that he could tell us what he's thinking. He appears so content in this latest picture. I know there are speed bumps and there will be more but look at him............he is so worth everything and you will never regret having him. Kiss that cute face for Aunt Shannon!
