Ohhhhhh

So this morning I started feeling funny during the first hour of my math class, it was somewhat disconcerting.

Then I thought; perhaps the 2 cookies, bottle of cream soda, and milkyway mini I grabbed as I ran out the door and ate in the car for breakfast might have something to do with it.... maybe. There were things I needed to get done around the house before I felt good about leaving....perhaps not the wisest decision. Who has time to eat, so annoying.

Thank you so much for a great first day of "Kristengate"... or "Restgate", or "I hatethisdangcouchgate".

Tiffany and Lynne both were willing to drop everything and come over with no warning. The calender is filling up nicely.

The calender is only representative of "lunch visits". To clarify, we have the food here, she just isn't supposed to prepare it herself.

No worries, you don't have to spoon feed her or anything... although....

It might be fun to tell all of you that she is supposed to be spoon fed, "no matter how much she complains"..and then we can videotape her reaction as people try to play "here comes the choo choo" "chuga chuga chuga" That might not be the most effective way to lower her blood pressure though....

So, back to clarifying that little schedule, you don't need to wait until you get on "the calender" to come visit. Visits are welcome anytime of day. You don't need to tiptoe or talk quietly, just don't play twister or arm wrestle.

There is a group fast tomorrow, I don't think we need to clarify what our goals are, and I don't think we need to synchronize our watches. We greatly appreciate the thoughts and prayers already, and are humbled at the willingness to take this next step.

It has been referred to as a "family fast". I interpret that word more broad than some... if you are reading this, I promise we think of you as family.

I think that's all for now....

Thanks!

There are some great Breakfast bars out there, or instant breakfast doesn't take long either...microwave bacon...uncrustables...granola bars...fruit & veggies (oh wait I am typing to Calvin). Plenty of quick easy breakfasts, stock up buddy we are going to be doing this for 6 weeks (cuz, I said so!)

Hi Kristen and Calvin,
I just read Vicki's e-mail from last night. Well I guess this is what I get for not being a "dedicated" blog reader! I'm so sorry to hear things have gotten that difficult for Kristen. But...I am glad for the excuse to come visit! I will take July 31st and August 7th. You are in our prayers and we love you three!

Thanks Kim, you're on for the 7th, the 31st just got booked, but please come visit soon, no calender required :)

Kristen and Calvin, I am sorry that I haven't been in touch. I have been checking your blog, but it was stuck on the same page so I didn't think you had updated it. I know...blonde and all. I can come on the 6th. I am sorry you are having to deal with all of this. You are in our prayers.

You could make a really fun game out of this with a couple Popsicle sticks and a rubber band. You set up some ways out in front of Kristen and shoot the food at her. You could draw a circle behind her head and count 'near hits' for half as many points. Trust me she would get a big kick out of this. >:)

P.S. it looks like our web host is pretty much toast, good luck seeing the blog. I'm shopping for a new affordable *crossing fingers* host this weekend'ish.
