Things I've learned

Things that don't put Kristen in a good mood when her arms are hurting...

1.) Saying "Cheer the hell up Woman!"

2.) Saying "Ooh ooh ooh, look at me, who am I?" Then holding your arms at odd angles while flopping your hands around and in a ridiculously high voice keep repeating "my arms hurt my arms hurt oh my arms hurt".

3.) Repeating whatever she says.

4.) Walking intentionally too close behind her.

5.) Repeating whatever she says, but only the rise and fall of the pitch of her voice and instead of words using nonsense sounds like babbbaaaddaaddafala, and then throwing in the last word she actually did say as you end. (Kristen) "Did you pack the car?" (Calvin) "babbadabbalahababa car?" This causes her to either rub her forehead or give me the "talk to hand" pose....

Things that seems to work slightly better....

1.) Softly tickling her whole arm, must resist urge to actually "tickle"

2.) Massaging her wrists and hands

3.) Rocking back and forth slowly with her head on my shoulder, humming adds a nice effect.

4.) Playing the piano while she pretends to not be falling asleep while reading... though suddenly switching over to "Wind Beneath My Wings" from the movie "Beaches" while she's not watching does cause her to shout... "I'm not dying!"

5.) Visiting her family in CO, especially on Father's Day weekend.. (the trip over was bright and clear, I made some great mix CDs and never got drowsy the entire time while singing along.)
