Question for all...

Comment and tell us what books you remember when you were really young. Try to avoid stuff you read later as children and teens, what were the earliest book memories and why?

I remember spending tons of time at the library, it was beautiful. It had an art gallery we would walk around in. We would get a new stack of books every week. I remember going to "my section" and I remember feeling cool when Mom thought it was time to move up to different sections as my reading progressed. Yeah, good job Mom.

I remember my first books at that same library were SCI FI from the adult section and mom going ummm don't you think we should get you something else to read?? lol Well I also remember reading every one of the hardy boy books I think she let it slide since I would take 2-3 of those each time also. I tried some of the nancy drew *coughsillycough* but there would still be cooties on the pages from the previous readers *girls* eeew...

My first reading books I remember, other that the "Dick and Jane" 1st grade readers, were The Bobbsey Twins. I got four books one year for Christmas when I was about 7-8 and I was more excited about those books than about anything. As you know, I collected quite a few of that series. I will always have a soft spot in my heart for the Bobbsey Twins. Love Ma
