I love rainy days

Words we learned today while Kristen was reading.

A garrote is a method of execution from Spain where the condemned are in a metal collar that is tightened slowly with a bolt until they die of strangulation or a broken neck. It is also the name of wire with handles on the ends used to kill someone from behind through strangulation.

The term "shoo in" is not spelled shoe in, it comes from horse racing referring to a horse that is so fast it can just be "shooed" across the finish line without stronger means of motivation (I hate watching them use those whips)

I think I might have to start paying attention to what Kristen is reading.....

Wolverine's fingernails should go to the ends of his fingers now, regular sleep patterns are forming, the tongue is fully formed and he might be sticking it out, his testicles are descending (yep I said testicles in a public forum), and he can hear even better. It is said that there is proof that babies will fall asleep faster when read to out loud from a book that they heard read while they were in the womb, Great I have to find a kids book about spanish assassins and horse racing....

I did buy a childhood favorite book the other day at Borders. I also bought a pacifier that says "stud muffin", I couldn't resist. But back to the book, does anyone else remember the book "Harold and the Purple Crayon"? Kristen was unfamiliar. I honestly remember reading this at a very early age and remember that it truly made me think. I attribute a lot about myself to that book. I am going to post a few pics from the book. Basically it is a little story where the main character draws his world and tries to get back home. I remember thinking about being able to pretend anything I wanted, that drawing would be cool especially if it meant I could show what I was imagining to the people around me. I love to pretend, I loved and still love anything creative, and I think day dreams can be powerful. I hope I can help Wolverine have a great imagination.

I think I'll be reading to Kristen's belly tonight.
